BODY CAM Shows Rescue of Driver from Fiery Wreckage in Salt Lake City Canyon

Civilians and a police officer joined forces to save the trapped driver.

The driver of a semi that exploded as it landed in a canyon will live to see another day, thanks to a police officer and civilians.

Unified Police Officer Wilson rush to the scene where he found the driver pinned as wreckage burned around him, KSLTV reported.

While some used fire extinguisers to quell the flames, Wilson and the others cleared debris to free the driver who was trapped by mound of debris.

The driver, with the help of his rescuers, walked to a road where he was met by fire and rescue personnel.

Wilson credited the civilians who jumped in to help him.
